Jeremy Rusco of Dynamic Discs wanted to try something different that would encourage players from outside the U.S. to make the trip to Emporia, Kansas for the 2016 Glass Blown Open. The idea he came up with was to open registration a few days early just for players that reside outside of the United States. Jeremy felt that this would show these players how much Dynamic Discs appreciates that they make the trip across the globe to take part in what is set to be the largest Disc Golf event in the history of Disc Golf. At the time of this article the international registration stood at 49 players which would be an impressive start for any tournament but, the 2016 Glass Blown Open is still 6 months away which makes that number all that more thrilling.
Registration is now open for all divisions and some Pro divisions. The Pro divisions will take place over a 4 week period starting on November 2nd. Please do not hesitate to register for the event, get time off from work, and make lodging arrangements as this event fill in 30 short days in 2015. In 2012 the PDGA Pro/Am World Championships had 1095 players and with enough courses in Emporia to host 1200 players Dynamic Discs plans to exceed the 2012 event with the 2016 Glass Blown Open.
